CANCER DANCES

With cancer diagnosis, dance becomes my journal, my salvation, my “this is the thing that I am making now.”

Aging, cancer, fear, thinking about dying, thinking about living, reconciliations, radiation, surgery, chemotherapy, and an ostomy – adding more challenge to my perception, abilities: of being in my body.

I start a blog that includes journaling and edited video-d improvisations. I dance without music, without words. Music is layered after the dance is filmed. Sometimes I edit to the music, sometimes I edit to the dance.
